As someone going into cyber security in the same field as you, I'm hyped to see celebrities as prolific as Ryan talking about cyber security and the tools to help everyday folk keep their passwords and data secure! I've used 1password for the past year, and cannot praise it enough. Maybe this vid will convince my family to start using it too!

I'm using Bitwarden atm, but I definitely approve this message. I've been trying to get my family and friends to use a password manager for ages, but it usually ends with them saying "It's too much of a hassle" etc etc. And yet they call me for technical support for when the don't remember what password they used for various websites. Sometimes I hate being the tech guy in the family/friend circle.

I don't have a technical background but I've worked the IT help desk in a school district for the past 6 months. However, now my mom calls me regularly to ask my opinion and/or help on anything technology related or even technology adjacent. Me: "I'll look into that," meaning I'll ask a tech and then repeat verbatim whatever they say.

I actually forced my parents to start using a password manager if they wanted my IT help. Better get them started in their 50s than in their 70s. However, it IS a learning curve, and I offered them all the help they needed to get started, and if they ever run into any problems they need only ask and I'll be there.

This is advertisement. I use different means to stop ads on my computer and my life. Ads blocking, Pi Hole, etc. But the ads created by Ryan Reynolds and his agency, I am voluntarily watching them. As a side-note, I use 1Password since years, and totally recommend it, as a cyber-security guy.
