I was born and grew up in Wrexham, Wales. My grandad lived opposite the ground on the Mold Road. As children we would walk past the ground almost daily and on Saturdays we would be in awe of the players playing at our 'theater' of The Race Ground. We would catch a glimpse of them playing football through the turnstiles and gates at the KOP end. Noses pushed up against the fence as we were just too young to get into the ground at the time. The noise, atmosphere of when we were younger still resonates over 35 years on. It is heartwarming and with great pride that Wrexham Football club is being talked about globally and a light is being shone on Wales. Have to admit that, as someone who lives in Wrexham, I'm not a fan of football and don't really care about the football team. But still, it would have been easy for Ryan and Rob to just buy the team just so that they could say they owned a football team and leave it at that. I am impressed at the amount of work they have done in promoting Wrexham. It's given the town a huge boost over the past few months, since the first "WTF???" moments when it was first announced and people thought it was a joke.
