I was born and grew up in Wrexham, Wales. My grandad lived opposite the ground on the Mold Road. As children we would walk past the ground almost daily and on Saturdays we would be in awe of the players playing at our 'theater' of The Race Ground. We would catch a glimpse of them playing football through the turnstiles and gates at the KOP end. Noses pushed up against the fence as we were just too young to get into the ground at the time. The noise, atmosphere of when we were younger still resonates over 35 years on. It is heartwarming and with great pride that Wrexham Football club is being talked about globally and a light is being shone on Wales. This is the start of the adventure both on and off pitch for all at Wrexham. Enjoy the journey, Diolch yn fawr.

As a Englishman I would be appalled if someone said Wales was in England Wales is defo a great place and should be acknowledged for how great it is May be biased as I am Cumbrian and my family line can be traced back to when our County was very similar to Wales and spoke something similar to Welsh Early Cumbrians were from the same group as the Welsh

@@Xtmartin86 Nope, that isn't correct. True story is that Ryan was watching Mac Finds His Pride episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia... At the end of the episode, there is a surprisingly emotional and touching scene (especially for this show!!!) in which Ryan felt was the most beautiful thing done in TV history. Having seen the episode, I can agree w/ Ryan. With that, Ryan DM'd Rob to share his appreciation of the scene and that kicked off their friendship.

@@20thcenturygamer22 yeah that's first language! everyone learns some welsh in school regardless of whether it's an english speaking school in wales or a school where you attend speaking welsh for most of your education (other than english lessons ofc :P ) I think the number of people who list themselves as fluent is around 310'00 fluent speakers? (i've seen other people say 560'000+ but it's hard to get a solid read) it's been on the increase since lockdown and possibly more so with these two promoting it!!

In the Summer I was on holiday in a cottage just outside Beddgelert. Went to Porthmadog one day and they were all speaking it. Weather was lovely as well. Fuck foreign holidays into a cocked hat! Though saying that, they put the price of a week in the cottage up from £1100 to £1200 p/week for next year. Nothing like the British Tourist Trade to fuck themselves up with greed when they have got a chance to change people's holiday habits.

@Arc Taurus I’m afraid Popty Ping is made up, microdon is Welsh for microwave. If that’s too boring regional variations are - meic, meicro, meicroffwrn, ffwrn ffyrnig, ffwrn fflach, or popdy sydyn. Sorry for any disillusionment. (One of my favourite Welsh words though is Pili Pala which means Butterfly)

The British TV series “Hinterland”, a detective series set in Wales actually filmed each episode’s script twice: once in English and once in Welsh. All of the actors were bilingual. Really good series on Netflix.

@@sparky4878 Even worse than that apparently it was free. It was owned by fans with 2000 committee members who make the decisions via votes. They both made a pitch with a pledge to invest £2million if they hand over ownership and out of the 2000 only 26 voted against and 9 didn't provide an answer. I'm happy to be corrected but I'm assuming that means they were given the club....
